Leadership Celebration
The Office of Student Activities Leadership Celebration takes place at the end of every academic year recognizing all aspects of leadership on campus. The evening is set up to be similar to an Academy Awards of leadership, and the Leadership Intern begins planning months in advance to organize the event. There are twenty-two available categories dedicated to different aspects of leadership. Twelve of the awards are given to individuals or groups while the other ten nominations are given out for event programming. Nominations are available to everyone in the Washington college community so the students, faculty, and staff are able to nominate whomever they believe is deserving of one of the awards. The night involves music, entertainment, fun, and best of all, recognizing individuals and organizations that work hard and show leadership within the Washington College community.
This year the Leadership Celebration will be held on April 29, 2009, and the Office of Student Activities is currently accepting nominations. Nominations are available through the link below and are due to the Sophie Turshen, Leadership Intern, in the Office of Student Activities by April 1st, 2009 at 5:00 pm.
